kemaren kita bersama seluruh warga griya alam pecatu khususnya cluster arjuna merayakan hari kemerdekaan republik indonesia yang ke 65, tapi berhubung bulan puasa, jadinya kita gabungin dengan acara buka puasa bersama.

dan... kali ini ayah didaulat jadi mc of the evening... hahaha lumayan bisa mejeng dan di foto-foto ma fotographernya...
acara dimulai dari jam setengah enam sore, dengan berbagai penampilan. tentunya diawali dengan tarian selamat datang... tari pendet, tapi penarinya anak-anak semua loh... dan mereka bukan semuanya asli bali, beberapa pendatang... lumayan bisa memberi ayah ide untuk ngomong tentang tarian tradisi indonesia, kan tarian ini sempet bikin heboh gara-gara negara tetangga mau nge-claim bahwa tarian ini aslinya dari negara mereka...

abis tuh, anak-anak yang lebih kecil lagi tampil, kali ini mereka menari denga iringan lagu dari maluku tepatnya ambon: ayo mama... dek thifa harusnya ikut tampil di tarian ini bersama kak rahma dan temen-temen lainnya... sayang, walaupun ayah dah beliin baju yang serupa untuk dek thifa dan kak rahma. padahal dek thifa dah ikutan latihan dan lumayan luwes loh dia menarikan gerakan-gerakan yang diajarkan, keturunan kali yak. tapi pas show time, eh malah rewel, gak mau naek pentas... hiks...

habis itu para ibu-ibu tampil dengan tarian bali lainnya, yaitu pushpanjali. wah, benar-benar mengagumkan

sambil nunggu waktu berbuka, salah satu warga mengisi acara dengan pembacaan ayat-ayat suci sampai waktu berbuka tiba

waktu berbuka tiba, ternyata kolak nya laris manis... nasi kotak nya juga... wah senang melihatnya

sambil berbuka puasa, dua orang ibu-ibu menampilkan tarian cenderawasih... bagus banget loh, mereka kayak penari professional. habis itu break, memberi waktu kepada kaum muslim untuk menunaikan ibadah sholat magrib di rumah masing-masing, dan diharap kembali lagi pukul tujuh teng untuk memulai acara lagi.

jam tujuh lebih dikit, acara re-open lagi, kali ini dengan pementasan modern dance oleh anak-anak arjuna... kali ini abang ikut berpartisipasi, ada dua cowok tampil untuk tarian ini selebihnya tujuh cewek... hihihi tujuh lawan dua. penampilan abang 'stunning' loh, dipemunculannya cowok diharuskan bikin 'special act' dan mereka berdiri terbalik dengan tangan untuk sekian saat, sambil menari ngikutin musik... wahhh semua orang tepuk tangan untuk aksi itu. tarian mereka memakai iringan lagu baby oleh justin beiber asal canada, yang lagi ngetop itu loh

setelah dari bali, lalu ke ambon, lalu ke canada (musiknya, hehehe) tampilan terakhir sebelum acara puncak yaitu pembagian hadiah para ibu-ibu membawa para hadirin ke sumatera barat... menampilkan tarian ranah minang dinding-badinding... luar biasa... pada gak nyangka ternyata di arjuna ini banyak bakat-bakat terpendam

acara terakhir pembagian hadiah dari lomba-lomba yang kemaren diadakan sebelum bulan puasa... yah lumayan semua anak dapet hadiah, gak cuman yang menang tapi semua peserta dapet hadiahnya

acara berakhir jam delapanan... memberi waktu kepada warga yang mau tarawih

above expectation... itulah komentar yang rata-rata orang bilang... dan tak lupa, mereka satisfied dengan sang pembawa acara nya... hehehe bisa-bisa jadi mc seumur hidup tuh, kata mereka...

selain ada mc seumur hidup, sang sound system operator juga bakal seumur hidup... hahaha

65th indonesia independence day celebration

this is the continuation of the family day story…

upon returning from family day at westin, we reach home at that night but not to take rest… instead prepare for the next following day event. we – at the perumahan griya alam pecatu cluster arjuna, holding a celebration for the independence day… it was brought forward just before the ramadhan, respect the muslim who will be fasting.

we decorate abang and adek’s bike since we have promised to them and they could join the convoy of ‘sepeda hias’. we did it in very last minute since ayah and bunda were not available before, and there was no electricity in the house due to pln is closed on saturday and sunday so ayah unable to top up the power… while there was no more power, we used the emergency lamp that belong to om anto… 

stay awake the whole night, ayah fallen a sleep at 05.30 hrs on the sofa while bunda still continuing the work, she did not sleep at all. finally all done just before the convoy… ayah woke abang and adek, get them to bath… and abang could not wait to ride his bike, he went first to balai arjuna where the convoy will be started. adek came after but should be guided by ayah… we are all had not got breakfast yet L

by 08.00 hrs all the kids of the block already there with their bike… abang with his eagle bike and adek with her butterfly bike, they looked so happy… oh the stay awake the whole night being paid by seeing their happiness expression J

after the convoy going around the blocks, finished at the first beginning place – balai arjuna, all the bikes parked with the rider on the side. the judge did their duty, but the winner will be announced later on the evening of august 17^th when we planned to have the show performance of the celebration…

then there were few games conducted, abang and adek joining most of them, start from ‘makan kerupuk’, coloring a picture, marble race (for this adek hold the spoon by hand instead of with her mouth)

just at the beginning of the activities bunda turned up holding breakfast for adek and abang, so bunda get them breakfast while they are doing the activity.

on ‘makan kerupuk’ abang failed, there were two ‘kerupuk’ hang one above the other, so when abang finished the first one, the upper one fallen and this caused him failed could not continue the game. actually he should finished the upper one first… if that happen he must be the winner since abang was very fast in finishing it, lucky that he got a bit longer tongue then the others, this benefit him in catching the ‘kerupuk’ to his mouth…  but it’s ok, he’s not that really sad…

but overall, both of them and the other kids were all happy and exciting with this happening… for most of them, that was their first time they had that kind of activities of the celebration that usually we called “agustusan”

could not wait for the august 17^th… where there will be performance, tari bali, tari minang, modern dance, etc… for this certainly bunda involve a lot for the practice, especially for the tari minang and modern dance… abang join the modern dance… let’s see tem on stage…

westin family day 2010

the event held in nusa indah hall of bicc at the westin resort nusa dua bali, with two days event.
we join the first day, it was on the evening of saturday.
the second day event was sunday morning, we could not join in this day since there will another event happening at our housing - perumahan griya alam pecatu in celebrating the independence day which we brought forward before ramadhan.

in this family day, we join few activities... abang and ayah won one prize for the game activity of treasure hunt.
it was a modified game with the fox candy as the treasure, and it was just spread on the floor, every corner of bicc first floor... tough we only won third prize by collecting 8 candies, but it was quiet fun... abang love it much, got a bunch of parcel consist of snacks, coffee sachet, tea bags, rice, frying oil... hmmmm


but upon arrival, while waiting the programs start, abang and adek did coloring on a piece of paper with coloring pencil as provided by the committee, the result could be taken home as a souvenir

abang also join the balloon race with bunda, but they lost since there was an accident, both of them been hit by other participants on the race. that because they run while both of them face to face hold the balloon with their forehead, so they run without seeing what will be happening next to them... abang felt down below the others... but he was alright... and he asked to join other games... adek keep enjoying the coloring activity.


after few games, we entering the ballroom and the program started... few entertainment, lucky draw, prizes and dinner... we went home at around 22.00 hrs... we are all enjoying it much.
